Almanya- Willkommen in Deutschland

The guest workers comedy "]]][[["Almanya - Welcome in Germany"]]][[[" tells the story of a winking German-Turkish family over three generations. The sisters Yasemin and Nesrin Samdereli co-wrote the screenplay for her first feature film, based on personal experiences. Directed by Yasemin Samdereli for this film, the 2011 ran out of competition program of the Berlinale. The conciliatory, bridges striking contribution to the debate on integration through a fun smorgasbord of cultural differences and misunderstandings. In the nested narrative for various times across the dilemma of guest workers and especially that of their children and grandchildren is illustrated having to cobble together their self tedious elements of both cultures.
